Ground Handlers In West Africa Inaugurate Association

A non-profit international association called Union of West African Handlers (UWAH) has been set up in Lome. Republic of Togo in accordance with the law of 1901 bearing on associations.
This event was held from November 14 to 16, 2019 at Hotel 2 Fevrier in Lome. Declaring the event open, Togo’s Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, Zouréhatou Kassah-Traore, represented by Mr. Tino Dano said their initiative to have this union was a good one for the West African region and would help to work together to achieve best practices in handling business.
Representatives of handling companies from francophone countries of Togo, Benin Republic, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Cote’ D’Ivoire participated in the meeting while representatives of handlers from Anglophone countries were absent.
