The Bishop of Lagos, Church of God Mission International (CGMi), Rt. Rev. Matthew Egwowa says there is need for men of the various tribes in Nigeria to seek and offer solutions to the nation’s current challenges rather than cry, complain to and blame one another.
Speaking at the Men’s Break-Away Session of the just concluded bi-annual MEGACONVENTION of Church of God Mission International (CGMi) held at Balm Of Gilead City (BGC), Edo State, Nigeria from August 6 to 11, 2019, Egwowa said God does not expect men in the land to go about complaining and avoiding challenges but to seek and offer solutions based on the word of God. He explained that it is the state of a man’s heart towards challenges, and what he has to offer, that makes him a man.
Taking his Bible text from Isaiah 54:5, “For your Maker is your husband, the Lord Almighty is his name, the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth,” Egwowa charged men to seek to produce spiritual children for God as his wife just as they pressurize their wives to give them biological children, explaining that the spiritual barrenness of a man is as significant as the biological barrenness of his wife.
Thousands of men attended the Forum organized by CGMi Christian Men Fellowship International.
